Hello, this is cntr.space (counter space), and I'm Andre Tan, a hospitality and lifestyle photographer based in Los Angeles
My aim is to capture the moments we share, creating a visual narrative that highlights a shared space where characters come to gather, from the back of the house to the front, every detail and every guest. I'm inspired by the conversations at the dinner table, the vibrant characters around us, classic portraiture, and photojournalism. I work with both digital and film formats, blending the nostalgia of film with a genuine feeling. From beautifullly styles food photography, immersice resatuarant and hotel visuals, to intimate moments between guest and loved ones, I aim to capture your story in a way that enchances your brands perception, increase social media engagement, and enhance your online presence.
In addition to photography, I am a professionally trained chef. I have worked in various kitchens and and catered for motion picture productions. this has allowed me to be passionate about documenting the world I love, from the highs and lows of the kitchen to the relationships we build, the community that flourishes, and the meticulous attention to detail in the mise en place that makes the hospitality industry and the people that operate it truly unique.

Together, we'll plan your shoot with purpose, aligning creative direction, location and shot list to ensure every detail works for your vision
03 / Production
I will create purposeful, story-driven imagery on location that truly represents your essence and connects with your ideal audience or loved ones that you wish to share.
04 / Delivery
I will take care of all post-production tasks, including retouching and file formatting, and provide you with a refined library of content that is ready for use.
